Rainlike Water Story

• How Rainlike Water Irrigation Solutions was created

   

  Farmers and irrigators know the difference rain makes on their plants and soils verses their normal irrigation water whether from a well, surface or from city. There is a consistent truth among farmers and groundskeepers that there is no better irrigation water than rainwater.

  While visiting Eric Merritt, at E.W. Merritt farms, in his olive grove near Porterville, California in 2010, we were discussing some of the typical issues most irrigators and farmers tend to have in his region and in that particular part of California. Eric, who is a physicist by education and a large-scale farmer by day, said, “We get pristine water from the Sierra mountains that puddles on our soils, but when its mixed with 1/2” of rain it percolates very easily. How can that be?” My thoughts were maybe it had to do with the chemistry or nitrogen content of rain. He said, “Since rain passes through several layers of atmospheric magnetic fields and it picks up a charge through the velocity that it picks up as it descends from above….it has quality that no other irrigation water has.”

  As I used that story with several farmers and golf superintendents they agreed and affirmed that there was no better water then rain that positively impacted soils and plant health.
